/Lekalis/
The Ex-Lord piped up as he saw more people enter, especially so when a familiar hat and nose peaked through with a curiously, vaguely familiar greasy man in tow. For a moment, Lekalis' gut began to spin, his mind began to twirl on fanciful paranoia's. Seeing two of his favored women so aligned with those of the opposite sex, scandalously alone yet together...
... He stook a breath and ran a hand through his hair, turning to face the door with a smile for true as he squeezed his eyes shut with some willful relaxation. "Aye, was just about to... hop into a bath, but sure." He nodded, and stooped to pluck up his cloak from the floor before fastening it about his shoulders.
Before he made his way over to Tilly, he shoved the box of organs and other biological viscera over to Florence with the toe of his boot; raising a brow and nodding to it, "Don't forget; curious, raw, lumpy giblets in there. I'm curious to anything fancy about'em... Meet you in the Archives later?" He hastily spake and retreated to Tilly's bubble, giving Florence and the crowd a quick two finger salut, "Good. See you then!" He announced loudly before looking to Tilly expectantly, pleadingly.

Duval extended his arm and stuck it out of the open door, before he slipped in with a pleasant smile and wink to boot. "'Ello ello ello! Nice to see yah again Lekky!" Duval announced with a jolly tone, seemingly masking his mild grief about making the cripple sob. He looked around the place, nodding with approval. "I say! You don't go half measures when it comes to lookin' after the place. Must be us two making it look nicer! Hah!" Duval chuckled, nodding at him apologetically. "My apologies, where are my manners. Would you like me to step outside whilst you catch up with Till?"

"Great, great, wonderful-- you can stay, by-the-by! I won't be out..." Tilly sighed, bowing her head. She latched her hand onto his and lead the way hurriedly out of the bathhouse with Lekalis in tow. She wasn't able to help it much. Her eyes were wet and streaming, and she was pawing at them with her free hand in total and complete shame.
"...that long at all." She sniffed, and departed in full.

Adeney was rather unsure what to do with his time now. He was returned from a venture, and cleaned now, but he wasn't eager to return to the sanitarium. The bath and salts were all a fleeting distraction from Doctor Silvant's death. He supposed that he should visit her hideaway to gather what tools and notes she had left behind.
A few more faces showed themselves inside, and one shortly whisked away the lordly fellow, before Adeney offer his farewell. The doctor quickly replaced the towel he wore with his pants, and pulled on the rest of his clothes.
He hardly payed any mind to Duval, hoping that the roguish man would do the same. But once he was decent again and worked the stiffness from his slightly damp attire, Adeney began toward the exit. He paused nearby Florence.
"I'm glad you are well. Perhaps we will work together again... or rather, work together at all." The man fumbled with his mask in his hands and offered Florence a nod. He was about to take another step, but eyed the box Lekalis had referred to before his departure. "He did say 'giblets'?"

"I find that you are very competent." Florence told him, and then motioned for Duval to come closer.
"Come. Examine these giblets. All of you."
Florence admired the organs from afar, bare hands held behind her back as though she had to physically resist the urge to rifle through the box of fascinating mystery organs. She bent slightly and looked over them admiringly.
"This is an excellent learning opportunity. But do not touch if you are without protective gear, or if your gear is compromised by liquid." She nodded. "We may visually examine them."

Duval raised a hand toward Adeney, waving at him as a form of greeting. "Off so soon? Is Silvant we-" Duval paused as Florence voiced the words 'giblets' and 'caution'. He raised his eyebrows, squinting out of confusion.
"Giblets like... steak? Or are we talking... 'spoiled meat'?" The mere mention of the word made Duval rub his stomach in a queesy manner. "S-sorry, had a run in with some nasty leper. Literally. But hey, made me run into that nice Tilly person sooooo-" He clapped his hands together, chuckling afterwards. "-Alls well that ends well! Annnyway, what's this giblet thing?" Duval inquired curiously, pointing at it close, as if he were going to poke it. But he didn't. Yet.

Adeney hardly kept up with Duval's blathering about a leper and 'Tilly person'. Though he cocked his head at the mention of Silvant. He hoped not to be the one to inform everyone who knew her that she was gone. He could hardly bear the thought himself, let alone recount it to anyone.
The man's attention was redirected to the box of guts and so Adeney allowed it to be.
"These are from what? 'Fishmen'?"

"Yes, so I am told, they come from man-fish hybrids. I am curious to see which is the more dominant of the two...-- and the name for these giblets is 'organs.'"m She leaned in, clumps of wet hair curtaining her face.
"It appears to be mostly human, from afar. The heart is four-chambered, not two-chambered as fish. Observe." She pointed to a misshapen giblet in the corner of the box before looking up to Duval.
"It pleases me that you have met Tilly. She is good."

Duval nodded blankly, stroking his chin with a thinking pout and strong 'hmmmm' as he studied it. Eventually, he came out of the trance, looking down at Florence briefly before nodding. "Oh aye! She seems alright." He quickly said, before he twirled his finger at the heart valves. "So it's like... what? Double fish?" Duval questioned her notion, before he shrugged unknowingly at what she was trying to say. "Or.. double... demon fish?"

Adeney hunched a bit closer for a better look at the briny viscera. He didn't expect to be examining a crate of gore in the bathhouse. An unamused brow was raised to Duval.
"Apparently there are some beastly creatures inhabiting the Cove. Like the 'swinefolk' in the sewers only... more... fishy." The doctor tried to explain, though he hadn't seen them himself either. And the guts in the box, as Florence already described, were more human than piscine.
"And you are... studying them?" He looked to Florence now.

"Not particularly. However, I do find this fascinating." Florence replied, eyes on the organs. She wished for a prodding stick, if anything, but evently conceded that it was likely for the best; without proper preparation, she might damage the samples.
"Currently, I am learning all I can on the biological, physiological, and anatomical effects of undeath. Often I find that the corpus, the mind and the spirit are intertwined. I find it very interesting."

Duval straightened up out of a curious surprise hitting his eardrums, taking looks at Adeney and Florence, then toward the heart.
"Undeath? Like all that necromancy stuff that's been going on in the ruins? Huh. Sounds like a weird adventure, a sciencey one..." Duval mumbled on, before he leaned forward again to take a closer look, only for a fishy smell to drive him away. "Blimey- so like, with that whole spirit mind shite, you working for a way to achieve godhood or something? Some soul trapping stuff? Because hey, if it's godhood then I'll give you a small taste of my finest rum!" Duval cackled, sniffling and rubbing his moe, before letting his smile fall along with his head toward Florence direction. "Aye, but you doing this for anything though? Sounds like stuff they'd say in fairy tales. Then again... this place might as well have them all." Duval hummed, as he stared onward toward the heart, seemingly memorised.

"Preposterous!" Adeney rose and narrowed his eyes down to Duval who went on about 'godhood' and rum. The man seemed to have as much medical knowledge as a dog, though he surely knew a thing or two about spirits.
"If such a thing as a soul existed - which has never lent itself to fact - it must be separate from a body. From... any kind of observation or influence." The red doctor stated matter-of-factly to the both of them. He gave Florence especially a curious, borderline condescending glance.
"Biologically, and physiologically, and anatomically," He went on, rather ardently. "the mind is the... the 'machine' of the body. When it dies, it cannot continue to function. You know this."
Adeney's gloved hand motioned toward the guts in the box. "These are simply waste."

Florence's brow furrowed ever so slightly as her gaze fell upon Duval, a veritable font of nonsense that she couldn't hope to follow. She scratched her brow, contemplatively, pondering over how, exactly, new Adeney was here.
She watched him for another moment.
"Where did you attend university, Doctor Mercier?"

Duval rolled his eyes and shrugged at both fo them, his expression rather sullied than before. "Oh come now. I only jest, besides it's not like I'm wrong or right." Duval explained with a tut to both of them, before shrugging again and taking a step away from the two, mainly to idly admire the organ.
"Then again, doctor- or doctors for this matter, know best..." He shrugged, leaning forward and looking at the organ with a grimace, tempted to poke it.
