Luciana Vitriol Resolve level: 0 -AppearanceAge: 31 Sex: Female Physical Description: Tall, burly, and brutish in looks, this woman is clearly not from these lands. Her clothes are tanned leather and furs, her face hard angles and malice. She wears little armour, and bears a passing resemblance to a Hellion, but her armament and tactics differ substantially. Attire: -BiographyQuirks:Positive: Cove Adventurer, Second Wind, Skilled Gambler Negative: Warrens Phobe, Faithless, Antsy Backstory Synopsis: Young Viking's father is killed on a raid, and, smelling an opportunity, another warlord decides to kill her and take her father's assets. This goes poorly. Full Backstory: Luciana did not have a particularly hard life when she was young, unlike many of her kind. Her father was a well-known raider and warlord, and she, as his child, received favourable treatment and was generally well-regarded by the members of her clan. This changed, however, when her father was struck down on one of his many raids. It was only a matter of days before the proverbial vultures started circling, and only a week or two until one of his former lieutenants, blinded by the promise of status and wealth, decided to take the chains of command by force. Young Luciana may have been under-trained and woefully outsized, but she fought like a cornered animal. This warlord, taken to the dirt by a girl half his age and with none of his experience - no skills at all, save a blind rage and total lack of regard for the rules of battle - served as a warning to anyone else who would try to claim her birthright. Now, as coastal towns dwindle and treasure grows scarce, the Raider goes further afield for her glory, and brings with her the rage and savagery of the Vikings. Misc. Notes: (Special items, notable scars, scents, how they walk, or talk, etc.) Luciana tends to speak with short words, and doesn't seem to have much of an inside voice. She walks with an undeniable swagger. -Skills & EquipmentWeapons: Bearded greataxe, bone shiv (made from a femur, allegedly taken (and whittled) herself), cleaver, crude daggers Armor: Steel helmet, leather shoulder pad, studded leather apron, thick fur-lined leather gloves Other gear: Fishing line, hooks, rope Strengths: Considerable physical strength, unafraid of death, confident, strong-willed Weaknesses: Questionable social skills, uninterested in diplomacy, distrustful, greedy

Hello there ! First off, let me bid you welcome on our forum! I really like your character. I always had a weakness for vikings. (No, I'm not saying that because I'm intimidated by the ginormous axe.) Your sheet is pretty much perfect! It could always use some more details, but Luciana is balanced and seems fit for the RP. Since you are new here, I heavily suggest that you join our discord! Even if you aren't that confortable with this sort of software, it's really, really, really useful to set up interactions with the other chars, know about what's going on, or just discuss with our lovely community ! If you haven't downloaded it yet, you can go here : discordapp.com/The link to join the server is displayed on the forum, but I'll link it here : discord.gg/Qzvz8FJAnd now, let me **stamp** TEMP-ACCEPTED Temporary acceptance allows you to explore the Hamlet, but you cannot partake in expeditions.
You may line your character up to go on an expedition, but leaving the Hamlet is not permitted until you are fully accepted. "Brothers will fight and kill each other, sisters' children will defile kinship. It is harsh in the world, whoredom rife an axe age, a sword age, shields are riven, a wind age, a wolf age ! before the world goes headlong. No man will have mercy on another."

Welcome welcome! As Unter said, we'd love to have you on our Discord server as well! I really dig Luciana's concept - hellions are my favorite - although there are a few things I'm a little weary about. As part of her backstory, it's acceptable that she manages to fend off a battle-honed warrior without having proper training herself. In the RP however, I think it will be key to maintain that she's fierce, reckless, and instinctual in combat without just being crazy strong and having no regard for taking a hit. While she seems to be much more a fighter than a talker, I'm really interested to see non-combat focused interactions with her! In a lot of character sheets 'strong physically, weak socially' is prevalent. I'm hoping you play up specific parts of that, for instance her greediness since she's a raider! These are just some things to keep in mind so your character has lots of room to grow. She can be interesting and impactful without starting overtly strong, and work her way toward total badassery. Really cool sheet! I appreciate the reference images a bunch!

Unfortunately I'm not quite comfortable with this part of Luciana's character. In Darkest Dungeon, most characters are normal people whose sanity buckles under horrifying circumstances (the exception being the flagellant, but he seems to have some blood magic going on whereas Luciana is just a very buff woman.) I encourage you to explore the more intimate parts of her psyche-- everyone has insecurities, fear, and paranoia, and these tend to rear their head when someone is under extreme stress. It would be more interesting to see a hardened viking break under otherworldly horror rather than only become stronger.
In summary what I'm trying to say is that Luciana is as human as anyone else, and as a result when exposed to mind-warping horror she shouldn't just get a classic barbarian berserk-mode damage buff. And it definitely shouldn't be her only possible affliction.
Regardless with what you do with it, I can't accept this CS as it stands.

Thank you for making the changes. :^D I encourage you to explore more of Luciana's psyche as she gains experience of the Estate and its monsters. She's a pretty interesting character and it'll be fun to pick her brain.
Enjoy full acceptance.
