The voices abandoned Aurora as she went down, a kick to her chest seemingly forcing them from her body. It seemed as if the voices had finally given all of the advice they could. Her pride soiled with the fabrics of her hip, the voices left her with a nearly audible "Ugh." Her body collided with the gel-padded earth with a wet sound, and her head collided with a harder part of the floor.
Eved's transformation complete, the sheer rage that occupied the beast's own psyche was enough to force all voices from his mind. In the depths of his rage he found no fear, no humanity. No mercy. The Crab was a mere obstacle in the way of satisfying the need for pain, and its death would be succulent. The Crab's eyes took in as much as they could, another target for it's raised claw. The monster surged at its new beastly target, meaning to bisect it with its massive cart-wheel sized claw. The giant beast left two massive cuts in the sides of Eved, and his blood showered the appendage before it ripped it back, an especially damaging attack. It's cry of victory was short lived though, the creature still stood, and The Crab was beginning to contemplate escape.
Semyon remained face down in the dark new room, the gaze of something great still upon him. "Hmm, Misery reeks from you, He-who-runs...you fill me with much anticipation. Can I ask that you rise from my floor?"
Semyon did not stir.

[Aurora]
Her head slams into the ground, and everything is thrown into a blur. She makes a noise - a groan, she thinks - but can't do much more. Her dagger gone, her instrument secure to her back. She can't imagine getting up, can't imagine forcing herself to her feet. Nearly unconscious, she feels only the terrible prick of glass shards against skin.

[Eved Kallikantzaros]
He takes a hit, flinching from sudden pain. He bares his teeth, retaliation at the ready. Hunger was outweiging "DINNNNERRRRRRRRRR...BE...STIIIIIIIIIIIILL!" - comes from a seemingly mindless beast's mouth, a voice full of beastly snarling and mouth noises...the tongue so foreign it might as well not be his. The last word transfors into a mindless roar he charges at the crab in front of him. He swipes at him with his claws, aiming for the beast's eyes, scraping against his chitinous shell.

The claws of the Beast chewed through the Crab's shell like bear paws through tree bark. Shell like delicate porcelain under the mighty hammer-fist of Eved's alter-ego. The Crab's screams were drowned by the roar, and it's claws reached high to protect its exposed flesh. It cried out as blood poured from the open wound, oozing forth like some strange excrement. The Crab did not back down though, its mandibles hung open with heavy shaking breaths, and it struck out in a wild flurry. The strikes flew wide, and The Crab fell to its belly upon the hard, glass-covered floor. In a wild buck, it upturned itself onto its back, and the creature laid there, screeching. Helpless. Succulent.
Aurora was alone, knocked nearly unconscious on the floor. Nothing perturbed her at the moment besides her own throbbing skull.

[Aurora]
The woman is too angry to stay down for long. Once the ringing has subsided, she raises herself to her feet, her heeled boots stomping against black worm and glass. The clamor was lost on her, but she sees two beasts going at battle for each other, and she decides it is time for her to leave. Leave, leave, leave.
She would get back at the man later, if he wasn't dead. She hauls herself into the tunnel and begins the trek, bloodied and ripped open. Her breaths wheeze, but she clings tight to her dragger in one hand and the gem in the other, unwilling to give either up.

[Eved Kallikantzaros] The beast continues to growl, digging his claws into the crab's shell, tearing it apart. The sound of claws and screams was soon joined by the sound of munching...The beast's hunger seemed to really kick in, as he started having a quick snack on the crab's insides. The meat gets practically boiled as it enters the throat, due to the beast's nature...which only ensured that he wouldn't come out of this interaction as hungry as he entered it. He pays no mind to Aurora, seemingly unaware of her existence, fully concentrated on doing away with the crab and having himself a long-desired dinner.

Aurora's crawling was faster than Semyons, and when she finally came upon the chamber, she landed nearly atop the unmoving Rus, who has just begun to arc his head up to whatever occupied the room with them.
The room was like the room behind them, one size smaller. A smaller room, with a smaller orb, hung with smaller chain to a smaller frame to smaller walls. The only difference was a creature, coiled around the the far side framework of the cube. Its blue-green scaled body scraped inelegantly across the metal, and its body seemed to ungulate occasionally with strange musculature. The creature's body was already dotted with strange feathers, stuck on with ichor and blood. Its end was a tapering one, terminating in a white, simplistic face. It was womanly, pale as the moon, but a cruel mockery of traditional beauty.
Her eyes were unlidded, open and exposed, bloodshot and tearing, a fear within them that was masked only by the smile that curled across her porcelain face. Her teeth were the wrong color, green as seagrass, her tongue silvery, like mercury. She as devoid of hair and of ears, and as her white face drew closer to the two, they could spot her chubby jaw, and round cheeks. She was young, but old. Ugly, yet beautiful. She was something eerily alike in every aspect the deepest pits of Semyon's nightmares. Soon to be Aurora's.
Her s's were like the drawing of a blade from scabbard, drawn out and sharp. "She who complains. Good to see..." She paused, one eye darting to the moving Semyon's form. She began to drool as his blood dripped from his clothes to the floor, he set himself up on his rump, and gave a puzzled, nearly maddening look to Her horrifyingly corporeal form. "...you in the flesh." She finished. Her eye joined her other in unison to look upon Aurora. "Your miseries leave s...something to be..." She paused again, and she began to chew the inside of her cheek. She did so for a few moments before her face erupted like a blackhead from her scaled body, and what followed was more of a pale body. Shoulders, featureless, followed by some of her back. Her breasts additionally came from her form, small, but present, and eerily stiff. Like...they were unfinished. She stopped after that, her hands still within her scaled sheath, her arms pinned to her side. Her body did not match her fat face. "desired."
--
The Crab did not stir, it couldn't. The sweet...then salty flesh was perfect. So Fresh, so present. Like the influences of a great drug, like the ecstasy that came with surviving a great fall into a body of churning water. The room did not stir any longer, and the only thing Kallikantzaros could hear was the wormy insides of the fish around him stirring, and the meat of the crab being pulled from the shell.

[Aurora]
The jester doesn't fully understand what she's seeing. She draws herself up, a mess of blood and silk, looking at this terrible and larvalike thing that's in front of her. It smells. It's awful. She is never, ever letting go of the jewel ever again, Semyon can die if he wants it.
She doesn't think that this orb is going to hold another "friend", if the beast that was in the other chamber could even be called one. Damn bastard. Motherfucker.
Aurora's breath feels like it's a slime in her throat, unable to get enough oxygen through to her brain with the blood that was oozing out of her body. A fishing trip, the man had said. The damn dirty fucker said it was just going to be a fishing trip. They didn't even need a net, he'd implied! They could certainly use one now, isn't that right? Wouldn't it all have been better if he ahd actualy prepared for a goddamn fishing trip?
The woman grimaces at the horrific start of what she could only assume was a transformation. The horrific flesh, the white like bone, the mangled green teeth. She moves her hands slowly back, easing her poor instrument around towards her front. "How about... since you liked it so much before... I play you... a song." She's low on breath, but it was worth a shot. "And if you like it, we can leave." She eyes the orb, wanting to know what was inside. More treasure?

[Eved Kallikantzaros] The beast fully commits to consuming the crab's meat, throwing away the smelly innards that were too bitter to the taste. He empties out the shell, sucking the meat out of its claws... Nothing else matters to him right now, only the satiation of that preexisting hunger.

The Naga adjusted herself, her white, pale body oozing continuous inches from her scaled form. Her hands finally pulled from behind herself, and they fell slack from her, hanging unused for a moment. Behind them came the rest of her bone-white body, blanketed in embryonic fluid that dripped to the metal cage and then to the stone floor. Her face remained its same pained expression, eyes tearing down her round face. She seemed, slower for a moment, slack arms finally tapping against the floor as her face drew ever closer to Aurora.
Semyon's first move drew her single eye once more, and this time she drew her gaze to Semyon entirely. "He-who rises, take care to avoid sssstepping on the..." She turned back to Aurora, "I'm sorry. You asked me a question. The answer is unfortunately..." She paused, and got...one...more...inch...closer. "No."
"That's why I was quick to dismiss it. My apologies."
She took a few feet back, body not entirely dislodged from her scaly shell. Her shape was mirrored to her shell's, and her arms finally animated, clicking and cracking to life, tucking themselves to her body like dragonfly wings. "What I really want is..." Her body flexed like a great white ribbon, and she curled her new form around a part of the metallic frame, savoring the way cold metal felt against her skin. "A piece of your misery." She said, face upside down, and still ever-staring at Semyon and Aurora. "Your voice." She began, aimed at Aurora. "Or your afterlife." She said, looking at Semyon, who rose to his feet, and began to hobble nearer to Aurora.
"And I will show you a way...out."
--
The Beast settled, meat emptied from the Crab's shell. He could smell...something else. Something, slimy, greasy. Sweet. It lied within the hole to his immediate right, misting from it. Meat. Shell. Fish. Bone.

[Aurora]
Everything this creature did instilled a growing terror in her. The smell, the sight, the pallid face and the slick of some ungodly fluid. "We're not giving anything to you," she says. If the sounds from the other chamber were to be believed, the man turned monster had finished its work with the crab and was somehow not dead. Not that Aurora forgave him. Of course she didn't. But he was much more useful to her alive than laying in some bloody puddle. "This place has already taken enough. You've gotten... your pound of flesh." Her breath wheezes slightly, eyes glancing to Semyon.
"We'll find our own way out if need be."

[Eved Kallikantzaros] The hunger steps away...so the beast settles in, looking around. He wouldn't mind taking a nap after such a dinner... and expending power on digging out another treat from a rocky wall?...Nah.

The Naga was not pleased. Her voice grew angry, and she hissed.
As she did, her face deflated, fat leaving it, skin drawing tight across her soft bones, face sharp and angled. Pensive, as she drew her final bit from the shell beside her. Her tail was a fish-like fin, though it seemed...vestigial. Unused. Unneeded. Her thinned face extended into a wordless scream, and she allowed her form to droop, like mucus, slowly schlopping onto the ground. Her noises were like a growling dog whos head had been held underwater, and Semyon's reaction was one to put a foot ahead of Aurora, and brace himself.
She drew herself forward, face-first, eyes cast on the two. Her mouth was small now, wrinkles growing on a thin-lipped mouth. "You, don't have a way..." She looked to the tunnel they had arrived in, dripping mucus like a certain...entrance, and on the other side a boiling beast. "Out." She was nearly laughing, smile returning just enough to convey a savory flavor to the two's misery. She licked the air, tongue too human-like, but a foot long, tastebuds like the carpet of sea-grass on the bottom of the bay. She returned it to her face, and extended one of her two rail-thin arms at the two of them. "Just a voice, love. Or an afterlife. Nothing for you two..." She paused again, listening to something that wasn't there. "to worry about."
She paused for a few moments. "Am...I not beautiful enough for you? Not...pretty enough, Aurora?"
Semyon let out a gasp, looking to Aurora, "Is...this an old flame?"
--
The Beast could smell them. Hear them. But, something else lay on the air. The scent of metal and gold. It hung near The Beast's nose, but was directly up, towards a fleshy ceiling that dripped clear liquid, and lay high above him. Behind him, though, an open tunnel, and the scent of open air and the Sea. And...far off...fishfolk.

"If you think I ever had any kind of relations with something so absolutely putrid, I should make the deal in your stead and send you to hell where you stand. No. We do not have any kind of prior knowings of each other." She looks at the naga, her face twisted in disgust.
"I'm not willing to give up my voice. It's my livelihood. But you know what would cause me a ton of misery? And Semyon here, a lot of misery?" She holds up the beautiful gem, the light flickering in the dim of the cave. "We've nearly killed each other over this damn thing. He got it from the pool, we fought, he threw it at a monster, I nearly died getting the damn thing back. I'm sure as soon as he realizes what I'm doing, he's going to chime in and insist that I not offer it. But this damned thing has been the source of a lot of fucking misery for the both of us. I want to take it home. It's worth a fucking fortune, I can tell. I could sell it and get myself a new outfit and a classy bottle of wine and an expensive whore and some new perfume and new rosin for my hurdy-gurdy.
"I don't think you have a real mind for fancy things. But if you want misery, then you can keep this as a shiny little keepsake, knowing two little fleshbags fought nearly to the death over it and neither got to carry the pretty thing home. You get a two-for-one deal. Both of us are basically doing this all for nothing. We were sent here to fish, and there's obviously no fish. Our only hope of getting anything good at all from this nightmare was this thing. So you want some misery? Make a deal with me. The gem, for the way out."

[Eved Kallikantzaros] The beast, hearing sounds from the hole too small to fit him in, just decided to kneel down, take a deep breath. Then he loudly roars right into the tunnel...Then steps away to see if whatever's inside would feel challenged in any way... He hopes it would. Or it might scare it which also works. Then he'll go hunting for other...more distant prey.
