"Huh... I see.", though, he more glanced at what Florence meant by her diallect. He squinted, again, in meek understanding, then nodded to mimick, perhaps veil, complete understanding. Though, his lack of followup was a painful give, even to the Ex-Lord.
He wasn't worried about Florence spying it, however, rather; he glanced to Tilly for a moment, only to realize her own preoccupied sickly nature to be all encompassing, so his plays at intelligence (and subsequent slip therein) was largely unnoticed. So he hoped.
The Ex-Lord cleared his throat, then, with no real smooth transition possible, he nodded again. A bit repitiously, he knew, but he did it. "Aye, perhaps this... Mystic of yours will show up sooner at the tavern..." He paused, and sighed, looking to Tilly and making to button up her blouse.
"--Florence, could I get a rag to... wipe away any residue? Thanks--" He swiftly requested, before moving on,
"... I swear, if I find this Mystic drunk or whoring in that Tavern; I'm going to Royally reprimand the both of you." Again, he paused and cleared his throat, "That is : You, Florence, and your Mystic."

Tilly fumed, in all senses of the word: the heat of her skin was palpable through the well-stained, well-stitched, and now well-sweated cloth of the blouse as it was buttoned upwards. Her quivering hands held loosely at the jacket and the unbuttoned jerkin she wore in some effort to resist attempts to button it closed, too. To be treated like cattle in such a way, brushed off as so, it made Tilly indignant; though, granted, she wasn't in any right fit to give any good responses-- at least, at the moment; her breathing had subsided to something more manageable, her heartrate calming... She gave a sigh, out through her nose, and found solace in watching Lekalis's eyes as he worked at her blose.
Florence complied to the simple request, distributing a rough cloth stained with blotches of something dark-colored that had soaked the fibers, though it smelled clean; it was the rag she typically used to sterilize her instruments. "Sometimes you are drunk." Florence pointed out. "And sometimes you are promiscuous. But you are still very competent, and undeserving of a Royal Reprimand."

With some awkwardness, he accepted the due compliment..? Of sorts, as he bowed his head in thanks as he saw to delicately pressing the rag against Tilly's chest; folding it quickly inbetween his fingers so that he could easily interchange layers to keep it fresh and undirtied, to the best of his abilities at least. "I... Am trying to fix that." He spoke disjointedly; whether due to an insecurity or because he was focused, it was hard to tell. Even as his face was intimately, yet professionally, focused on swiping away the sweat.
His mouth opened a touch as the veil of professionalism subsided, and his teeth lightly bit on his lower lip; his palm pausing at Tilly's collar and danced at opening up Tilly's shirt just a touch more, even from the known sight, he hummed innocently as he glanced to Tilly, then Florence before clearing his throat and swapping out the active layer on the cloth.
The Ex-Lord's hand moved up to gingerly pat away the sweat on Tilly's brow and face in general, with a boyish smile. The deed was done quickly, and he rose a brow; flourishing the rag full and lax with a flick of the wrist, he presented it to Florence. "Well... It seems we've finished?" He declared the question boldly, as he held Tilly's downtrodden gaze, as his own nature seemed to lighten...

"Yes, I have finished my observations." Florence affirmed, receiving the rag back in kind and folding it neatly-- albeit, rather vainly, as it was unceremoniously tucked into the depths of her bag along with the rest of her belongings, where it would inevitably become scrunched and crumpled. She peered at Tilly from the corner of her uncracked lens. "I would like to provide a... prognosis on what she should expect in the coming future." She reached outwards and pinched at a bared patch of skin at Tilly's neck.
"Hm..." Florence squinted. "But it may benefit us more if we breakfasted beforehand."
Tilly's gaze flitted quizzically to Florence as the flesh was plucked. Although she quirked a frown, she didn't make any mention of it. Instead, she looked to Lekalis, smiled, shrugged, and then set to stand, as her breathing had set to a pace that was more or less manageable-- enough to breathe and to speak.
"Let's get going with it, then..." Though, it would seem that she had overestimated herself and stood far too quickly. She swayed as her knees buckled, and her vision blackened about the edges.

"Right... Prognosis..." He repeated hopelessly with an exasperated roll of the eyes as he kept his facing to Tilly; drinking in her features, however queasy, she looked jovial... It was terrifiying to think she'd danced so close to depressive mania. Delicately, he pushed some hair behind her ear with a flicker of kindly teeth,
"... You look so lovely right now though." He purred, oozing with sarcasm as he lightly cupped Tilly's jaw and patted her cheek with his thumb before pulling away; letting his hand tip her hat back haphazardly while he did so.
With a growing sense of dignity, as he realized his time hiding out in cobbled cells was drawing to a swift close. Lekalis straightened his cloak's collar and its respective layered hem, before looking back to Tilly with some surprise; making to take her hand so he might assist her in standing.
"We'll lead the way..?" He proposed, gauging Tilly as much as Florence in the offering.

It had felt like the bones in her legs were turned to gelatin, the way they trembled when Tilly stood on them. She sucked in a breath and held it there a moment, as if to draw strength from it-- as well as the hand she clasped currently... My, it's been a long time since I've felt this way before... Or, more accurately, this particular feeling of starvation, the way her stomach knotted and her head swam.
"--I ever tell you the day's wasted 'less something's nearly killed me by tea-time?" Her slender fingers whisked a bead of sweat off her forehead, and she'd leaned her cheek into his hand as he brushed it. Drawing by the wide, dizzy grin that grew on her face, she found what she was about to say terribly clever, "I'm sorry to say: I don't feel anything's come quite that close yet."
Florence had collected her things and stared hard at Tilly, frowning behind the mask. "That is bad." The good doctor dutifully informed her, assuming the helm, what with Lekalis assisting the patient; she took the door and opened it. "Being killed is bad for both you and your child's health."

The Ex-Lord clucked his tongue and bowed a brow to Tilly, as he hefted Tilly up and wrapped an arm around her waist by measures of intimacy and assistance towards defying gravity's lure.
"Ah, you heard the Doc, dearest Love; we'll have to make sure you avoid getting killed for the day." He mused with a whimsical sadness that he shrugged off,
"... 'Sides, plenty of time to find a way to make the day not-wasted. Without getting yourself nearly killed." He informed with due poignancy as he went on to follow Florence...

It was too difficult to try to remain indignant, pressed against Lekalis flank as Tilly was; though, there was some clinging frustration at her inability to walk unaided... Not that there was anything she could do about it, either. Tilly was rather firmly in that Crowgazer's grip, with her soul and her blood for ransom.
"I suppose so; else, I'd best get ready to have a lot of wasted days." She jested; her legs trembled as she walked unsteadily on them. "Honestly, I can't say I'm sorry for it."

[Courcy, accompanied by Blood, Tilly, and Florence, enter the Abbey grounds]
The group headed towards the mausoleum to search for any sign of a collapsed entry from the sewer-like undergrounds. Courcy had avoided the place for a long time, more so than the church itself. Her wrist itched.
She followed the others, mostly in quiet, though she was anxious to share words with Blood as well. It was curious that she didn't hate him, for all of his garishness. Yet her present company were the few that kept her around.

The Ex-Lord cleared his throat, the sound echoing in the rather expansive halls; he was rather surprised that this was one of the first time's he'd been in here, last he could remember at least. The Abbey's underbelly had all manner of curious alcoves... He imagined not many would be too pleasant, as he glanced back to Tilly and offered a quick smile, before looking ahead.
Then looking back with a thoroughly confused face, brows furrowed and his line drawn into a small frown; "... Perhaps you should take us to that first spot?" He shrugged, his face relaxing as he looked off to nothing in particular, "Might be able to gather some details on what the swine like." He mused, before huffing, shaking his head and loosely slipping his thumbs into his belt.
His nose scrunched up, as though he was beset upon a foul wind already, "Not sure if I want to, truth be told. I never was a fan of pork... Swear I could taste the filth on'em, no matter the seasoning and temperature." \\

The hall was dark, and the braziers along the wall remained unlit. Small, rectangular windows lined the wall, near pressed up to the ceiling in a desperate bid for sun.
-- "Not even smoked bacon? Pity." Tilly made a weak smile back at Lekalis, catching his eye; in his scarlet cloak, shining along down the hall, he looked to be a torch, blazing on into the dark. The cloak was too pretty to be taken into the depths: it showed in the way it slightly frayed and stained at the ends. "They're... rather crafty. Almost human-- they walk like men, most of them. They stole the bitty things and fled back into the tunnels right quick."
"It's where were headed now, down the stairs, here..." She sighed, bowing her head. Even a brisk walk proved to be some kind of exertion. The simplest thought of an expedition pained her. But she certainly was in better shape than Celeste.
--- Down the stairs, the group would come to a room, roughly the size of a modest bedroom. Retired from its early days as a reliquary, it seemed to serve more as a storeroom: empty, oaken cabinets leaned up against the stone walls in various degrees of disrepair.
There was a patch, wide enough to the point where three men could stand abreast, in the opposite wall of the wall, where concrete had been poured in and sealed. There was a crack down the center, and pieces of it had crumbled, revealing the steal beams it had been poured over.

"I like a good pork." Courcy offered, only half attentive to their conversation. She was offput by the dingy hallway, but it wasn't so much paranoia as regretful remembrance. The depths of the church had secrets, and except that she had to, she wanted no part of it.
As the reached the cellar, she poked around the edges of the room, although it was obvious where the swine would have come through if this had been their point of entry. Though they were 'crafty', the swinefolk were crude and muddy. "Don't suppose they patched it back again when they came through?"

"Oh, sure, sure... Bacon, sometimes." He hummed listlessly as he descended into the repurposed room in kind; his eye immediately spying the obvious wall, though, it seemed to be sturdy enough. A crack was typical of large slabs of concrete, after all.
"For the wall; as Tilly said, if they were any good. Which..." His eyes drifted to the concrete-with-a-crack slab, and shrugged, "... Looks to be the case."
No, what was more intriguing was the furniture and the repurposage, to the Ex-Lord. If he'd a hat and pipe, he might've looked like a proper investigator as he cupped his chin and meandered about to the large cupboard. If the Swine did have the guile of men, then perhaps they'd the guile to use a prop to hide a break in the wall..? "... Speaking of which, do any of you smell any... particular odour concerning the porcine monstrosities?" He inquired thoughtfully, tapping his lip as he turned back about to face his party.

The air smelled foul and bitter, as if to burn the nostrils of those who breathed it in. It felt wrong to hold the air in one's longs.
The furniture pushed up against the walls only had cobwebs and dust to hide, with the exception of the large cupboard: beneath it was a fat, black rat. With its meat still intact, it seemed that it had only recently found its demise. A white froth, like sea foam, bubbled out from its tiny jaws.
---
Tilly wrinkled her nose, slowing by the crack in the concrete. She squinted at it. "Not... this sort of smell." She pawed at the bridge of her rather prominent nose, as though to wipe the scent away.
She bent slightly at the waist, leaning in to examine the crack on the wall as she silently tried to place where the scent was familiar. Courcy may also find the scent vaguely familiar, albeit connected to stale, traumatic memories... a stab in the back, so long ago.
--
Florence watched Tilly meander about the crack in the wall and found herself rather displeasing of it, but also unsure what to do about it. She kept silent and watched from the doorway, like a shadow.

The longer they remained in the room, a sneer grew on Courcy's face. The stench was foul to be sure, and too thick to discern, or to want to discern what exactly it was. Though the piercing odor almost had her gagging. She hid her nose with her wrist.
"Just smells like rot and sewage." The redhead spoke up while she trailed behind Blood, peering behind the cabinets as if she might spot something that he wouldn't have. Only the room appeared to be untouched for months.
"All that shit coming from just a hole in the wall?" She eloquently questioned, looking over to Florence, who must have been comfortable not having to snuff out the rancid air.
