He gave out a light chuckle, and surprisingly didn't back away from her touch as she wiped away his tears, his head moving to look away her with a light smile. "Maybe if I chose a different choice they wouldn't of done that." Duval chuckled awkwardly, nodding toward Grace. "Thanks. I thought it would've been a waste of time but... I'm glad." Duval said, the touch relaxing, rather than setting off his bad thoughts.
"To be honest, being a healer suits ye, being awfully sweet and all that." Duval admitted with another chuckle, his mood seemingly improved and the weight had began to relax itself.

"It does not sound like you had much of a choice at all. And, it is always my pleasure to help those in need. I am glad I was able to...alleviate some of your burden, Nick." Grace says, flushing rather red at the compliment, as she wasn't very used to receiving them. She drifted a hand down and set it on the man's shoulder, squeezing tightly.
"I do not want you acting brave here only to break down later. A crisis like this will not be so easily forgotten. But I do think you will be strong enough to do it, and I promise to help you along the way, no matter what it requires." she says, voice full of powerful conviction.

Duval chuckles, and leans his head into her hand for a moment, smiling at her. "And then I will gladly accept your help, being as wonderfully helpful as you are now would do me wonders on the future." Duval hums, his other hand raising itself toward his eye and brushing away the remaiming tears. "Though me? Acting? I acted like a dead man for two years, I'm sure I can act a little bit 'brave'." Duval jested with a smile, before he raised his right hand and brushed it alongside her forearm.
"I don't know about you but... I feel like I need to repay you, with steak and some red. I've been starved for quite a while anyway, so if you're up for it then by all means, tell me now if you wish." Duval voiced out to her with a lapse o nervousness forming over, though the tingle of the healers fingertips was reassuring enough.

"Mmm...well, some pleasant company may end up helping you along, and I think I can ignore my paperwork for a while longer...just as long as this is not some half-baked ruse to get under my robes." Grace says, folding her arms across her chest and looking at Duvall sternly.

Duval let out a pleasant laugh at her accusation, holding out his palm toward her. "You can trust me, I trust you, as a friend." Duval smiled at her, a polar opposite to her stern expression. He almost seemed to pout at her after that comment, in a teasing sense as his healthy skin tone began to come back to him as his composure was regained. "Tehehehe, don't worry about it Grace. After what happened, taking a whooole new perspective on LIFE!" Duval cackled, though his face would soon turn into one of neutral expression, but only for a moment. "Perhaps you would like to vent your troubles onto me? If it helps that is."

"Well perhaps you can use this opportunity to become a more pious person. As for me...as a follower of the Light, I do not have any problems." Grace says withdrawing from Duvall and giving a small sad smile.

"Well I don't know abut pious but I'm sure I can right some of my wrongs. Hell, I've got plenty!" Duval chuckled, patting his chest twice right after his jest, before lowering his arms and looking at Grace in a similarly sad manner. "But yeah, I'm sorry for coming in like a mess. Couldn't get any sleep, had a couple nightmares and shite. Are you sure you're alright? Running quite a long face, I see." Duval commented, raising eyebrow at her as he leaneed off the wall.

"Hmm? Yes, I am fine. I was just upset at seeing you in such a miserable state. Now that you seem to be doing better, I feel better as well." Grace assured, putting on her hollow expression of passive, cold politeness.

Duval gave a short bow to Grace, all courtesy and respectful it seemed, with a new found smile brightening on his face. "That's good! Well, if there's nothing more to it... I'm gonna drop off a wee letter, then I gotta go see my pal George about somethin'" Duval said, turning to his left and reaching for the handle, pulling it down, and pulling the door open with a sprinkle of lovely energy. He turned his head to meet Grace's with a blinding toothy grin, one of happiness, not of cockiness.
"Cheers Grace. Knew I could count on you." Duval said warmly, winking at her once before he began moving out of the door with the smile planted firmly on his face.

Eventually Ignis would wake up, sitting up and stretching, her bones and muscles popping a bit. She yawned, scratching her head and regretting sleeping on the floor quite a bit. Through all this shewas quite quiet, not wanting to disturb Tod.

There was minutes of time where Ignis would have thought to see Tod sleeping in the small twin bed near her. Sadly, this was not the case. The place she had not dared to look, behind her, for fear of creating too much noise in front of the body-shaped bundle of bedding she thought was Tod, was the actual location of the tattooed zealot. He sat in a cheap wooden chair in his undergarments, his large fur-edged coat covering his shoulders as his uncovered arms feverishly tapped the wood.
"Good morning," he said, stopping his tapping, writing the second sentence onto yellowed paper, wiping a brow in the beginning stages of sweatiness. He wrote an other sentence, "I had to write this, it's been on my mind for a while."
His attempt at an explanation was underwhelming, but in his own head he fully understood why he was doing what he was doing. Adrenaline had begun to leak into his veins, and his mind was surprisingly clear in his state, simply reading over his written words, thinking of the ones to write next. He was running out of ink, and this was his one try. He smiled as he turned back towards the doctor woman named Fire, nodding as he gestured over to his unused bed.
"Y'know, you can use my bed if you wish, get some extra minutes of sleep not on a religious man's floor?"

Ignis had been startled by Tod suddenly talking to her. She gave a jump and looked over at him with a nonplussed expression. "No, I'm fine, thank you. What are you writing?" she asks as she stands. She remains standing in the middle of the room, looking at him while in her underwear.

There was a great deal of deep, internal screaming within Tod's mind that hit him at the current moment. His hands shook and he looked away, writing another sentence, albeit a shaky one. He spoke again, calming slightly in not having to gaze at the female form again, "Um, it is a letter to a man I wish to apologize to."
He said the words with a twisted sense of certainty, as if he was sure to finish the letter and give it to the "man". But within, Tod faltered, and contemplated throwing the letter away.
It was maybe the fact that a half-naked woman stood behind him to forced him to stare at the paper, and he wrote another sentence. Eyes locked to remain undistracted. He would not be seduced. Now whether or not that was Ignis's intention was up to her, but Tod had his own thoughts on the matter.

"I see. Could you step out so I can change, please?" Ignis says as she starts rummaging through her things.
