THE DARKEST ROLEPLAY: TAVERN
"All manner of diversion and dalliance await those who cross the threshold with coin in hand."
---
Here is where you will post interactions that take place in the tavern, gambling hall, brothel, or the bedrooms on the second and third floors.
NOTE: Even in the brothel, posts must be PG-13. Please keep details tastefully vague, or redirect yourselves to PMs.

"Hmphhh. Servitude," Tybalt grunted as he looked on at Edgar. "A fate worse than death some might say." He swallows more of his drink. "I am no admirer of his kind." He turns to Brenton and raises his mug. "What shall we drink to?"

"I do wish I could raise a mug of my own...Too bad that damnable trip to this place robbed me of most of my coin. I cannot afford one without causing financial issues for myself - which is simply uneccessary." Brenton sighed and pushed up his goggles into proper position with his gloved index finger. "...Unless...You would be willing to share one?" he then suggested while a smirk began to take form on his face. "After all...We are friends, are we not?"
Edgar had finally managed to retain control of his stream of tears, but his shoulders were still twitching from occassional sniffing. Friends. How familiar, yet still strangely alien this word was.
What is a friend? Someone who looks after you, right? Someone who appreciates you, supports you and cares for you as if you were their own sibling? And what did being friends mean to Brenton - his master in all but name? A free drink. A tool to exploit other's emotional bonds and good will in order to gain selfish favor. Despicable. Edgar wanted to think that he knew the concept of friendship better than anyone. Back when he was still him he was practically friends with all. But it had been so long since he had someone to call 'friend'. He had all but forgotten what it truly felt like to have a friend. And now he would likely never get to experience that feeling ever again. Because of this man. No - this monster. Another tear slipped through Edgar's clenched eyelids. Every passing moment ever since he came to this place has made him feel worse and worse. Even though he had been released from the labs his torment had seemingly just begun.

Sebastian nuzzles Tazia's head softly and pats her hip with a gentle kindness. He hears paper scuffing against wood, and he props himself up on his elbow to see an envelope sitting on the floor next to the door. He flicks a glaze towards Tazia, before rising up out of the bed. He pulls on his undergarments and pants before walking over to the envelope and picking it up.
He walks to fire and sits on one of the chairs nearby to further inspect the envelope.
The envelope seems normal aside from the crimson wax seal that binds it closed. Which bears that of the Heir's Symbol.
Sebastian opens the envelope and begins reading it's contents.

"Got some news, chum?" Tazia asks as she stretches out on the bed a bit. She then goes about locating all her cloths, which had gotten scattered about the room.

Sebastian looks back at her, the fire's light flickers on one side of his face, he wears a smirk on his face. "Well I've been requested to go speak with the Heir on receiving my letters for approval of participation in expeditions again." He looks back at the letter, his smirk only fading away slightly. "So very good news indeed." He rises from his chair. He places the letter on the chair that his long coat rests on. He sits on the edge of the bed, then laying back, resting his head nearby Tazia.

Tazia lays down across Sebastian, face close to his. "You had better be careful. I hear he's a very...peculiar man. Prone to...drastic shifts. Some say he's got a hoste of actors to pretend to be him when meeting people. Others say...he's mad." the lady whispers in the man's ear, talking like she's telling a ghost story.

Tybalt let out a small huff and grunted at Hook. "Whatever is fine." He drops a few coins on the bar. Cheapskate, he thought to himself. Hook grunted in reply and slides a drink towards Breton.

"Aah, much obliged, Tybalt." Brenton said, his smirk morphing into a grin as he greedily took hold of the mug. After a few wiffs of the brew to ensure it was of drinkable quality, he raised it to above eye-level in preparation for his swig. "I say we drink to comradery, fortune, and most of all: success! May our prowess carry us forward and exceed our own expectations!" He gave a small nod towards Tybalt. "Cheers, good sir." After that he moved the mug to his thin lips and tipped it backwards in a literal 'Bottom's up', emptying its strong contents through his dry throat in a matter of moments. The drink was as burning as smelt metal, and it was very appearent on his facial expression that he had not been prepared for the sensation. He was forced into a fit of hoarse coughing shortly after placing the mug firmly onto the wooden counter. "Ohoh, hooohh, oh it's good to be alive! Hah hah hah!--" he cackled before going into another fit of coughing. It was fairly obvious he wasn't used to taking a lot of liquor - at least at one time.
After a few moments of recovering he cleared his throat to adress Tybalt properly. "Say, I have been wondering about that bartender of yours..." he began, "...I reckon he wasn't born with that metal appendage attached to him. Do you know why he has that hook?"

Sebastian lets out a soft sigh, "Aye, I've met the man before." He pauses to exhale again, softly combing his fingers through Tazia's hair, "He is quite...eccentric but I do need to speak to him in order to get back into making actual money, and refurbishing equipment."

"Oh. Well why didn't you say that first? Letting me ramble on like that." Tazia replies, giving Seb a slap on the chest and a quick kiss on the cheek. "I suppose you'll be wanting to go jump feet first into the pig excrement as soon as possible. Such a waste. Such a shame." she laments, rubbing her body over the man's subtly.

Courcy moped on her way to the tavern, and so was surprised when she arrived and saw no sign of Blood or Tilly. She worried that the grave robber may have been lost, that Blood couldn't find her. Renewed sympathy for the loss of Tilly's lover struck deep in her heart. The ginger drifted to a table nearby the stairway, and collapsed into a chair facing the pub's entrance. Her stillness reflected the hollow she felt while she awaited the arrival of her only companions.

He over dramatically rolls his eyes. "But of course, it's the most invigorating feeling and scent to bear with for a day or two after you get back." He coyly pincers the back of Tazia's neck giving it a gentle squeeze. "Well I should head off soon, wouldn't want to delay the opportunity to make some money. Would you want to join me if the job isn't located in the pig's lair?"

"Well you can certainly try and convince me." Tazia says, laying laying like a soft, boneless mass with no intention of moving.

He chuckles. "Fine, I'll try after I get back from going to the Heir." He gets up out of the bed and begins to pull all of his gear on.
