> Vane left the Tavern.
As Odin stepped outside, he would quickly find Vane staring the giant statue in the middle of the town. It must have been the famous lord of this land long long time ago. The statue has seen better days too. It seemed to be even more worn out than the town around it. However any form of art was better to look at than the muddy streets. Vane looked down at his feet and cringed. He must find some foot coverings as soon as possible before he steps on something unthinkable. While he's pondering his shoe situation, he notices Odin exiting the Tavern. He waved at him shyly, still feeling little uncertain if the man was actually willing to talk to him after yesterday.

Odin exited the tavern, he looked groggy and tired, but he waved back too Vane.
“How are you feeling after yesterday? Were you alright after that many drinks?” He winks, showing he’s using that for cover, just incase anyone is listening.
He gets close too him, and looks too the statue.
And his heart stops. His entire body freezes- that man. He’s…there’s… He puts a hand too his head.
“I…” visions of betrayal pound through him- but what does it mean?! “I’m…I’m sorry-“ his sudden change in behavior is staggering- quick.

Before she was able to make her solo pilgrimage to her place of comfort, she heard the sound of familiar voices behind her. She decided that at the very least she would be decent and let them know she would be heading off briefly - they were new in town, after all.
"Morning, you two," she says, as she winces trying her best to hide the headache. "I have some errands to attend to, but I'll keep to my word on finding some work for the lot of us."
She turns to see the mysterious statue the two seem to have gathered around. She had no idea who this was, nor what it was supposed to represent. To her, it was just another construct dedicated to those who had the gold to spare. It was ironic, to see this elaborate figure of a noble man whilst the town withered away each passing day.
"In any case, go and see the sights this sorry place has to offer. I'll find you once I catch wind of something."

It didn’t seem to bother Odin at all. He even jokes about it. Vane didn’t realize how much he was tensing up his shoulders until Odin started talking to him.
“Right. Yes. I am feeling well toda-” Vane answered casually, but stopped when seeing Odin’s reaction. He didn’t know where it was coming from. It was that sudden. He was so shocked that he barely even noticed Eileen had walked into the picture until she started talking to them.
“Ah. Yes. Thank you. We will be settling here” He said quickly and turned to Odin. Vane stepped closer and tried bowing down to meet Odin’s eyes. “Hey. You look unwell. What’s wrong?” Vane asked, concerned.

Odin couldn't answer for a moment. His entire body feels like it's pounding, just like his heart. His eyes water, it feels as if he's about too die. "Th-This...It's this...this statue..." Odin holds his other hand too his head. Vane could get to his level, but due to him looking down and holding his head, they wouldn't be able to meet eyes... That is, until Odin looked up at them.
"This man doesn't...doesn't deserve a statue...I don't know why- I don't...It's like my entire being is rejecting the statue..." He feels himself getting close to regurgitating, the visions are getting that horrible for him.

Vane looked at Odin and carefully analyzed the situation. This looks like the beginnings of a hysteria or even a heart attack. Or Odin was just turning mad. Regardless, Vane knew the feeling well. He could try and help.
“Odin. Listen to my voice. This sounds foolish at first, but try it out with me. It will help” Vane said and changed his demeanor quickly as well, but to one of calmness. He used his free hand to demonstrate taking slow breaths in as he tried guiding Odin into meditation.
“Take a deep breath in with me. Smell the air around you. Hold it… and let go. Hooo… Feel your feet touching the ground. Feel your hands touching your face. Feel how your heart pumps strong. You are safe in your body and this is just a statue of stone. You cannot be hurt by a statue” Vane spoke with carefully selected words and soft voice.

Odin...nods. Breathe in, breathe out...
"Feeling...Okay." He focuses on his body. He's here. He's now. He isn't in there, he's not in that horrible place. That place of betrayal, of disgust- of darkness- darker then dark. Darkest.
He looks up at him, his face dark but he isn't crying anymore. "Th-thank you...It's...It's not the statue, don't worry- i'm not that mad." He softly chuckles, but his face stays...almost tramuatized. "It's the person it's betraying. I think...I know him, but...I don't understand why- i've never studied this place."

Vane slowed down and lowered his hands when seeing Odin calming down. However Odin wasn't exactly the same bright face that he was yesterday. But at least he wasn't going mad. Vane turned to look at the statue behind him one more time. "Hmp. You are right however. I know many men not deserving of their idols" He shrugged and turned his cheek to the statue.
"Perhaps we can find a less depressing sight to look at. Come with me. Let us explore the town in better light" Vane invited Odin by putting his hand over his shoulder and physically turning him away from the statue. It was best for both of them not to stare at it.

Odin nods. "Yo....you're right. Thank you...I'm sorry...I guess...I got riled up because of a dream, that man was in my dream, i never even looked at the statue yesterday, at least not that i'm aware of..." He follows him, unsure where exactly they are heading, but feeling better already nonetheless... "Should we...meet with Eileen later? I heard her talking but I was too distracted with my...my headache," he lies, as it was visions, but he doesn't want to worry him more, "That I didn't know what she said..."

"Hmm. Fascinating" Vane thought about other's dream as he turned them away from the statue.
"She said she has errands to run. I don't wish to disturb her. I'm sure we will meet her later after she has find some work" Vane explained and just walked aimlessly on the streets. He eyed at the buildings and different signs hanging from them, trying to get adjusted to this new place.
"You said you were also interested in the fight... or the adventuring at least" Vane said. "You understand that we will face worse things than bad dreams?" Vane said. He didn't want to sound judgemental but it was coming out that way regardless.

Odin didn't take it as such. "Yes, to be exact- more adventure then fighting, but this wasn't...a monster, it was a person- and people are the most confusing of all." HE sighs.
"They have complex emotions, and thoughts, and of course so can the things in there, but..." He looks down. "I"ll be fine, I think. I just...I need to know what that is..."
He looks around at the dark, almost damp atmosphere of the Hamlet. "It's nice here, in it's own really weird way..." He says this too try changing the subject, he already feels incompetent, he doesn't need someone else telling him that...

“Hm” Vane listened to Odin talk and nodded. “We all have our monsters deep down. Mental or physical. If you look at people long enough, you see we aren't so different from the monster” Vane explained a bit melancholically.
“You have a good heart and a unique library of knowledge. That one is clear. But in a place like this, as nice at is now, it will be turned against you. I just don't want you to hurt yourself…”
“...however” Vane changed his tone and shrugged again. “You did manage to tame The beast for a moment. So I believe you will be just fine” He said and gave Odin a friendly tap on the shoulder.

Odin nods. "Thank you." He smiles, a little sadly but at the same time, it felt bright. He wasn't sure where they were heading, but he doesn't mind- as long as he can be there with Vane- as he already helped *him,* and he also wants to eventually know his story- and maybe, hopefully, help him with his...affliction.

Vane was mostly leading the pair around the town. Vane seemed to be in search of something and as their conversation carried on, he found it. He stopped walking and turned his head towards the abbey. The sturdy stone walls and intricate architectural details stood out from the grey surroundings. Vane stared at it for a moment with longing.
“I heard that it’s peaceful there. In the abbey. A quiet place to worship and meditate in the candle light” Vane stated without removing his gaze from the building. “I wish to be there. I think it would be good for me. However I’m not sure if I’m allowed to enter” he sighed.

"If they don't let you in there, then I'm going too need too speak with someone." He smiles, his smile still weak, but it feels genuine.
"Hopefully we both can calm down from...yeah. But should we stop by there or keep exploring?" He's been enjoying the nice conversation from Vane, and he seems too be feeling quite a bit better, though not as happy as he was before.
...It was strange, it felt like memories- like he was remembering something- but he never been in the estate- hell, he isn't even sure why he believes the manor he was in, *was* the estate, it could have been any manor, but that's the first one that came to mind...
"And...when do you think we will be able to explore the Estate?" He's eager too explore- too find whats in there.
