/Lekalis/
He gave Tilly a fair, content gaze and nodded. Then, satisfied he'd done his due, pressed on with a ponderous hum, "Well, that's reassuring... Here I thought you'd betrothed me for my lands and coffers." He japed, flaring his fangs as they encroached upon the Heir's manor, looking up to it with some trepidation.
Lekalis' hand slipped into his satchel and felt for the writ before pausing some odd five meters out from the Manor, looking to Tilly with some fret, "Do you have the papers?" He asked quickly, his eyes wide and genuinely worried she might've lost them...

"Eh," Charissa says with a shrug, "Fortune favors the bold, as the saying goes. Plus..." Charis casts her eyes around at the corpses of the cultists and the scattered wreckage created from said cultists' raid on the Hamlet. "Whatever forces are at play here, be they unholy, eldritch, or simply the wickedness that man is so capable of doing... Well, as Bernard would say, 'They're playing for keeps'." She then intones.

Tilly grinned widely and swept out the rolled-up writ with adequately dramatic flourish.
"Course I do."
She held out the paper for him to take as her smile turned sheepish.
"I... eh, forgot to run by the heir earlier."

"What's that? Course you do betrothe me for my coffers and lands?!" He exclaimed in a bemused tone, before snatching away the qrit with exaggerated pomp before diligently ensuring the paper wasn't too tampered with or that the details hadn't been muddled or changed any. Content, he sighed and held it close to his breast as he approached the Heir's Manor.
"Ready?" He asked Tilly, glancing to her one last time before entering the Heir's abode to collect their due reward...
\Timeskip to retrieve rewards?\

(Heeelll yea!) "You heard me." Tilly crossed her arms and made to look as serious as she could possibly manage, "You and your huge tracts of land and infinite wealth and all." She started forward, cupping a hand on the back of Lekalis's silk-clad shoulder for the sole joy of simply interacting with the fellow.
"The very last one..."

[Frik yes, Timeskip to post-reward] /Lekalis/
"Seems I'll be the very first one to have huge tracts of land here..." He glibly picked up their conversation where it ended, With an awkward but relieved sigh he exited the Heir's manor after just stowing away his thousand new gold pieces into his satchel with a ditty whistle as he glimpsed over to Tilly with a flicker of kleptomania that he thankfully kept at bay, at least, realistically. "About that infinite wealth, however..." Playfully, he reached out to try and sneak a hand into one of the countless pockets of her jacket to pinch a coin.

"Ah-- no!"
Tilly flinched hard, as if she were about to be struck. She hopped away and clasped her hands over the pocket in question, protecting it from any other thieving hands.
Her shoulders relaxed as she found distance and a real grasp of the less-than-serious situation, and she let go of a breath she didn't know she was holding. "Er, not... in public." She gave a quick glance around and her voice was hush, "That's asking to get robbed."

"Truly, no?" Lekalis whimpered sadly, then, took a step demurred step forward as he looked down to the writ of property that confirmed yet another step onwards; towards a Life not threatened day in and day out. Where money came as he sat upon a throne once more, and decadence could be his again... It brought a smile to his lips as his brows raised and he exhaled happily.
He looked over to Tilly and nudged her expectantly, "Fair enough; mind if we stop by the Nomad's wagon? I've a few things to trade... Reckon you do too? You rooted around and awful lot on the beach before we left..." He mused the last with hardly any conviction as he began to bee-line his way towards the familiar carriage... \\

Tilly shook off the initial fright of having her pockets pinched and scampered after Lekalis as he made his way over to the carriage. She slipped her hands into her pockets protectively as she jogged after him.
"A... bit." She jingled her coat pockets as they stepped by the caravan.
"Lots of gems, mostly."

He nodded and quirked his mouth to one side in thought, tossing his head and hair to the same as he leant his opposite shoulder against the Nomad's Wagon and knocked twice. Lekalis looked rather surprised at Tilly's transparency, "Suppose you'll--"
He was abruptly interrupted by the Nomad popping her head out, "-- Ah, one second. I'll be there in a moment." Lekalis informed, and like a hedgehog, The Nomad slipped back into her wagon and shut the door.
Lekalis cleared his throat and shrugged his brows, his eyes never really breaking their gaze from her, "Think you could allow me to negotiate a price for our gems..?"

For a moment Tilly seemed to be in deep pain, the way her nose scrunched up and she grimaced-- she was thinking, though, apparent through the way she 'hmmm'd pensively. She held her hands in her pockets for a long while before she came up with an answer as she rocked on her heels.
"Could I...---" She pointed up a long finger, "Carry the gold with me after you're done?"

"Aye, whatever gold your gems are due, aye." He affirmed with a mercantilist smile that seemed to glimmer with unseen gold as he mimicked Tilly's hands, burrowing them into his own pockets as he tilted his head one way, then the other, trying to see under her hat yet again. "Hmm..?" He insisted, his smile relaxing to something less predatory.
"... Is that satisfactory?" Lekalis spake in a poetic lilt as he leant out to run his thumb over Tilly's cheek and behind her ear...

Tilly was silent with concentration as she nodded, closing her eyes as though to draw strength from some unseen force. She stood on her toes and leaned forward to plant a short but sweet kiss on his lips, before drawing back.
Her hands criss-crossed into many different pockets, notably on the inside of her coat, at a variety of odd angles. Finally she plucked out the very last of the sapphires from a pocket just behind her shoulderblade and presented the generous handful of gems to Lekalis.
"...I found a lot."

"What the hell..." Were the first words out of Lekalis' lips as his brows raised at the first sapphires, then he found his jaw agape at the multitude of glimmering gems and somehow managed to wrestle his eyes from the small King's ransom in Tilly's hands to stare at her debatably more precious spheres in her head. "... Found a lot!? This is bloody brilliant Tilly!" He whisper-shouted the last, looking about before swiftly stealing Tilly away in a veil of his red-cloak with a little cackle.
"We're going to be rich Tilly... This house will be done within the week! With money to spare, oh we could get you such a gorgeous dress... A silken bed..." He almost seemed to drool at the prospect as he gingerly cupped his hands and recieved the gems which he stowed in his satchel that he now held close to his chest like the child of the Light manifest. "... Did you always bring back such a beautiful haul?"

It was as though she was giving him a piece of her soul so stow away in that satchel. Tilly's eyes were nervously locked on it. She was wringing her hands.
"Ah, not... usually." Her fingers squirmed against each other and for a moment she seemed to want to take it back.
"I can't work anymore-- we ought to save as much as we can."
