Lekalis sighed again and nodded to both her assumptions of his open-ended statement, a fair reprisal as he hugged her gingerly about the waist as he eyed the paper again, "I'm sure once we deliver the good news to Courcy she'll be right as rain again." He smirked and shrugged, raising a brow at her mention of the scene yet again.
Lekalis planted a quick kiss on her neck as he swayed her to and fro for a moment, "She just needs time to... Grow up a little, find someone nice." He assured her with a bit of a sad sigh, "I feel bad for her still; I wish I'd someone for her, but so many of the people here are so foul..." He grumbled and tapped a finger on the paper...

Tilly couldn't help but smile and sway along with his motions, only stopping to ready the quill out from the ink well and poise it a hair above the paper, visually mapping out where she wanted to write before starting-- a trick she'd learned from Margerie to keep her writing from wandering.
"Yeah, she's had a run of bad luck... though it really doesn't help that she's never thought to befriend a fellow before laying with him." She hummed, drawing in large letters:
'Courcy: You are very cordially invited to the wedding of Tilly & Lekalis Fanuschrat In one fortnight.'
"Light knows you menfolk love to be courted." She chuckled warmly as she finished the letter and rubbed her hand along the length of one of the arms that hugged her.

"Now what makes you say that..?" He chuckled and moved Courcy's invitation to dry beside Jacques, before sliding over a fresh piece of paper in its stead. "... Next is... Celeste?"

"Why, I don't know a single person who wouldn't like to be called sweet names and made to feel lovely."
Tilly reached for the next page, resupplying the ink for the pen to soak up while she thought on what next to print out. It wasn't quite right to draw out identical invitations for her close friends.
She traced the quill along: 'Please be welcomed to attend our wedding! Tilly and Lekalis Fanuschrat are marrying in one fortnight.'
"My favorite part of promenades and the like was getting to turn around and start courting a caller right back."

"You? Courting right back..?" He guffawed as he pushed aside Celeste's invitation and drew up another piece of paper, sliding it infront of Tilly's writing space, "... You hardly manage a riposte to my advances as is, Love." Lekalis japed as he made to jab at her ribs lightly with a toothy grin.

"Well--!"
Tilly made to ink the pen again, but as her ribs were mercilessly poked, for the safety of the spotless parchment, she let the pen sit aside in the inkwell as she flinched and tensed.
"You're different!" She explained as she made to grapple for the jabbing hand.

He stole the opportunity of Tilly's now de-quilled hand to push the chair away from the table to gain some rather literal wiggle room as he let his poking-hand get grappled. Immediately, he splayed out his fingers innocently and sighed, "If that's all the invitation's we need..." He began, casting his eyes off to the bed with a catty grin, he shrugged and nodded, shutting his eyes contentedly, "... I 'ought to see to decorating them. I haven't drawn in quite the while, and senseless decorum may prove to be good practice."
Lekalis slowly let one eye open, though, "Unless you have something more interesting in mind..?"

"We can finish the rest tomorrow, I think." Tilly agreed, relinquishing the hand at last after surmising that it wasn't a threat... ...and, of course, after she swiveled about to kiss him clumsily upon the cheek.
"I don't think I've ever seen you draw." Her eyes glanced briefly to the papers before she found her feet and started to rise.
"I'd like to watch." She nodded encouragingly, and set about gentlemanly pushing in Lekalis's chair so that he might draw comfortably.

"Tomorrow? I'd rather we finish them up tonight and deliver them tomorrow... Less of a hassle that ways. I'd like to devote as much daylight as we can to getting the rubble, at the least, off of the foundations... I may pay the Schwarz', that German house we gathered afront of before our expedition, a visit to see if they'd be willing to help." He rambled on as he paid a minute thanks to Tilly as he was scooted in, he cleared his throat and reached for the pen and the first invitation of Jacques.
He slid the paper infront of him and eyed it ponderously as he idly flapped the quill against his cheek...

"We'll have time for it." Tilly assured, stepping behind his chair so that she might oversee what his hands chose to draw. She eyed the paper curiously, and her own hands began to toy with his inkish hair, gently detangling the strands.
"'Sides, I'd rather watch you draw than write a dozen more invitations." Her elbows rested some on the back of his chair, but her mind wandered still as her hands started to idle.
"...Have we any bread left from the expedition, by the way?"

"MMmm, hmm... No..." He begrudgingly admitted, he offered an apologetic smile and shrug as he looked over his shoulder up to Tilly as she mingled with his hair, "... I shared it with Courcy after you went straight to bed after the fight." He chuckled and shrugged, looking to the various pockets on the inside of her jacket.
"We've plenty of coin if you want to make a run for dinner?" He proposed, as he turned back around and sighed, his wrist relaxing and his fingers finding themselves reaccustomed to the quill, he began by making a border of ink about a centimeter inwards on the paper...

"Ah, well... I was really tired." Tilly shrugged sheepishly, drumming her nails anxiously along the back of the chair. They were going to have to spend much on more important, and consequently more expensive things than bread; and who really knew how much gold they'd have when all was said and done?
She pulled the front of her jacket closer together, almost as though she wished to button it up before deciding against it and resuming to tend to Lekalis's hair. Tilly started to braid it.
"...I'll just wait 'til later, I think." She decided, leaning to one side to watch Lekalis's ministrations of the ink.

"You sure..?" He asked a bit absently, glancing behind him halfwise, stopping himself short so he didn't disrupt her fiddling. He shrugged all the same and resumed his doodling; seeing to a pattern of simple whorls, more to get the fluidity back into his wrist than to apply any real intricacy to the invitation, he caged it off with a second border before he saw to a circle in the corner, half the size of a fist. He kept making more and more circles that quaintly intertwined inside the circle itself, making for a slightly arcane looking and glorified circle. He continued on to box that as well, before moving to the next corner and divulging in a spiral design.
"... Do you miss anything about your old life?" He asked thoughtfully, as he boxed the spiral design as well before moving up to the upper left corner and saw to designing a Fanciful 'T'

"Yeah, lots." It was a dower shift to the conversation, for certain, and it already made her heart feel heavy at the thought of it. Tilly went about finishing the braid, a simple one, before setting it to the side of Lekalis's shoulder.
"I've a little nephew or niece I've never met. Frederick was so excited-- and he hardly got excited for anything. I left before I got to meet the little one." She rubbed her jaw, "And I miss my Margerie, too; she always had the best advice. I talked to her about everything."
Her hand came down to rest at the back of the chair, "And it was nice not to have to worry about money, or where your bread was coming from, or getting stabbed. Lots of little things I took for granted."
With a little sigh, she watched him draw pleasant little shapes and the like in the corners of the page, "What do you miss?"

Her words rang true for him too as he listened, and his stylization became a bit slower as he thought on... His sympathy only rose as he only imagined how young she must have been when she was left to fend for herself. The Ex-Lord shifted in his seat a she drew away from him, he cast her a sympathetic glance and nod as he sighed and saw to finishing up the stylized 'T' and went on to make an 'L' and 'F' boredly, with no real purpose.
"I miss the freedom I had as a Lord... Being able to go wherever, whenever." He shrugged loosely, as he pulled over the next invitation and saw to fancifiying that. "I honestly don't miss much anymore... I've a lot to look forward to, things I never dreampt of having in the past." Lekalis gave Tilly a quick smile and hummed, "We should write your family..." He offered quietly.
