Brenton Chandler
Resolve level: 0
Seeker Plague doctor
-Appearance
Age: 31
Sex: Male
Physical Description: Semi-tall and slim figure that stands at around 5 feet 10 inches with a black scruff on his almost pointy chin, has white skin and brown eyes. His jawlines are narrow with visable cheekbones.
Attire: Green hooded robes of cloth and goggles with dark glass over his eyes instead of a full plague doctor’s mask. He doesn’t tend to deal with foul smells or actual sickness much, and so he sees no need for a mask. Perhaps a rather foolish choice made by high ego, but only time will tell.
-Biography
Quirks: Early riser, Steady, Curious, Bloodthirsty, Egomania.
Synopsis: A doctor and alchemist who was heavily involved with Edgar’s abominable condition and now watches over him.
Full: Not much is known about Brenton’s earlier days prior to work – he’s even forgotten it himself as he felt it was inconsequential. What is known however is that he’s always strived to become a brilliant scientist, and will stop at nothing to achieve this. As he traveled across the land in his quest of chemical knowledge he was given an offer by shady people in hoods who promised him a way to practise his experimental techniques. Eager to test his skills in alchemy, Brenton accepted the offer with glee and followed the figures to a monestary in a town located approximately ten kilometers from the Hamlet. This, however, was no normal monestary; in the basement lied a secret sanitarium used for inhuman experimantations. Brenton was assigned to help work with a special ”patient”; a man by the name of Edgar, who they sought to turn into a living weapon. Brenton began to get to work, and he was unsettlingly efficient at what he did to the poor subject. With the green eldritch blood successfully injected into the subject’s veins, Brenton was assigned a task by one of the higher-end torturers to escort the poor sod to a miserable hamlet to test their creation and keep a very close eye on him. As much as Brenton hated babysitting, he was still morbidly curious as ever to see the ruined man in action. After all…What better laboratory than the blood-soaked battlefield? He soon packed his equipment, grabbed the subject by his chains, and stepped onto a wagon that would lead them to the hamlet.
Misc. Notes: Brenton tends to act with much enthusiasm in whatever he does, and he usually wears a rather fake grin on his face most of the time to cover up his devilish nature. He usually reeks of antiseptics and gunpowder – side effects of his experimental concoctions. He always carries needles filled with sleep-inducing drugs in a pouch, in case Edgar would lose control in his beast-mode or if he needs to defend himself from a ruffian.
-Skills & Equipment
Weapons: Satchels with blinding and disorienting gasses used to disrupt enemies. He also has a thin whip, though he never uses it for combat and instead as “motivation” for Edgar.
Armor: None, only his medical robes.
Other gear: Goggles over his eyes used to protect himself from his own concoctions, several satchels and pouches on his belt with all sorts of ingrediants, and vials with experimental vapours he can use to invigorate teammates along with medicines to cure ailments.
Strengths: He has great knowledge of alchemical properties and can use his tonics to support his teammates or disrupt the enemy’s lines.
Weaknesses: Brenton is far too curious for his own good, which can lead to him laying his hands on things that would be best left untouched, or get involved with matters he should stay out of. He also has a lack of respect for other people, tending to see others as merely meat-shields or tools for his experimental treatments. He is also rather unafraid of letting people know if they annoy him, which can make him rather harsh in his words.
