"Ah, come on: I'm being serious." Tilly frowned at him and his antics, folding her arms about her as she seemed to sink an inch more into the water. She took a glance to the sky,
"It was a lot easier when it was just myself to worry about; it's no one's fault than my own that I'm here. But now every little thing I do could harm the poor thing if I'm not careful." Two fingers came up to stroke at her jaw line, and she squinted, as if pained. "I've gotta look after two fellows instead of one."

"Hmmm, I'm sorry...", he apologized as he reached up and took her hand in his, pulling it over so he could hold it in both of his hands; he idly kneaded out the meat between her bones in some means to massage it.
His features sombered some as he set his eyes on her hands solely, "... We'll be careful together, but we can't forget that we've needs too. With the house and wedding planning, I'm sure we'll be plenty busy and safe. Once Jacques comes back, that's another person to look out for us."
"We've got an odd amount of eyes watching for anything we might miss, so I'm not worried... I've got good enough eyes alone, anything more and it's a proper boon." He rambled confidently...

"Suppose you're right." Tilly conceded, watched as he smoothed out her hand. The other was free to fidget as it pleases, so it worked out some tangles in her hair. It was easier now, on account of its shortened length. She still mourned the fact.
"We'll need to get on writing that letter." Admittedly, the anticipation of the task ahead excited her; she hadn't seen Jacques in so long.
"...Do you think he could help with this... curse business?" She asked, suddenly, after a moment of thought. "I think it's getting worse."

"Jacques?" He needlessly clarified as he hummed and shifted in his seat for a moment before shaking his head, but clearly contemplated it. "... He might. I heard rumors of Jacques and Solomon at one point... Of souls and sticks." He rose a brow questioningly, motioning to her as he rose up and out of the water. The beckoning duties needed tending, and he made his way over to his cloak which he flapped flush to the wind. Its red luster restored.
"...Worse, you said?" He repeated again, turning as he gave one more flourish of the cloak and laid it out on the dry ground to sit upon, he beckoned her forth conversationally with a pat on the silken ground beside him. "How so?"

"Er, yeah..." Tilly curled her arms around herself, bracing herself for the coming cold, and rose to follow Lekalis out of the water. She folded her legs underneath her, settling in close to his side to borrow warmth from him, shoulder-to-shoulder.
"I've been having dreams of... not just a red ocean, but blue laboratories and the like, too. And there's always a fellow in red robes." She did not look at him as she recounted. Her eyes were on the amulet. "When I was going after that beast on the boardwalk, I wasn't controlling my own hands so much as that red-robed man was."
Tilly met his eyes at last.
"It sounds crazy, doesn't it?"

"I wish it was the crazy I could laugh at..." He jested morbidly as he scooted a bit closer to his afflicted Love, reaching out with his cheek to rest on her brow for a moment before kissing her forehead gently.
"... I've dreamt of the red ocean as well, but... Never of a blue laboratory." He murmured the last with worried speculation as he curled a hand around his chin and looked off to the River, before looking to Tilly and noting her gaze wasn't precisely at his admirable pectorals.
When her eyes met his again, like one might raise a tea-cup, he curled a finger around her chin to reaffirm her sight on his own. "I think I know what you mean when it comes to that... second pair of hands over yours in a battle." He shifted uncomfortably, desperate to get closer to Tilly though, already their body's threatened to envelop one another with his incessant pressing. "We'll have to tell Florence... Jacques too, when-- if, he comes." He sighed sadly...

Tilly nodded distantly; concern still played plainly on her face, and now that she thought on it, there was so much to be worried about. "It was telling me to go to the middle of that boardwalk; it showed me the way and all." Her hands made to commandeer his closest arm and wrap it over shoulder as she scooted in.
"It was also telling me to slay everything-- 'til there was nothing left." She pulled an arn around him, too, to bulwark herself against the wind. She also simply enjoyed being around him.
Tilly was quiet another moment, and then a new light of realization came into her eyes, "Is that why you don't remember what happened in your Keep? That red fellow was doing it all for you."

A look of both surprise and regret played through his eyes as he looked to her, and a touch of fear played over his features as he chewed on the inside of his cheek for a moment. "Aye." He admitted, scared words that came like the tide to the shore.
"The Red Robed man showed me the way here, said to slay everything t'ill I got to the Heart of it all." He suppressed a shiver as memories glazed over his eyes, he shut them and they were clear again.
"I... Didn't really have much direction 'sides that, really.", Lekalis pulled Tilly into a humble embrace; holding her close enough that her nose nigh touched his. His eyes were solemn in their gaze towards Tilly's own, grim acceptance of what cards he was dealt.

Tilly 'hmmm'd as she listened, and did not recoil as much as she might have expected herself to prior to her misadventures with Jacques and his book. Truthfully, she was quite experienced with ousting curses off from people. There was a firm confidence that she could do it again.
"I think it'd be a good idea to, maybe, do the opposite of what it wants." Tilly proposed with a little smile, "So maybe it's a good thing we're settling down, eh?"

"Maybe we should do the opposite of the frighteningly and by all means bloody dreams. Aye, yes, agreed, that's a damn good idea." He agreed with grey enthusiasm as he chuckled and palmed his brow, reclining back for a moment before giving he faintest warnings of a pounce in the way he glanced at her ever so lustfully, "I love you..." He murmured, almost to himself, and lunged forward and finally pressed his lips against Tilly's soft own; minding the nose, of course, as he made to stradle her.
He relented a touch as he drew his arms around her ribs in a haughty, if but a bit lewd and awkward hug, "... We'll break this curse, and make a damn fine house..." He declared with a toothy grin.

Tilly only barely caught the warnings of an imminent lunge before he pounced, and she found herself with her arms wrapped around his shoulders, as though afraid to part from him even in the briefest of sudden movements. "--and I love you." She smiled widely and burrowed her brow into his shoulder, pulling him closer. Her ankles were pressed close to him.
"We'll be the talk of the town, you know." She chuckled softly, "I don't remember anybody else getting married here."

He chuckled as he buried his nose into her freshly washed hair... While lacking any aroma, the slowly drying natural odour of his Only kept a beaming grin spread across his lips. It made it deliciously difficult to talk, and he couldn't resist but to nibble on her ear with his fangs bared so. "Aye... Call me vain, but I quite like that prospect don't you?"
Lekalis hummed, his tone had fallen to a loving murmur, privy to Tilly's theater, "What love brews in the Darkest Estate, will not be so easily tarnished." He echoed with a controlled flair, he giggled again, squirming against her as he felt her heated brow against his shoulder. "You think many'll follow in our stead? What with our own manor in the making... We'll set a fad..."

"About time that they did--" Tilly breathed, opening one eye briefly to look over his features; she grinned widely as she held him close to her, shifting to press against him. "That Hook is a conman; everyone ought to just build their own bloody houses..." She nodded along his jaw, admiringly. She found a fog settling into her mind, and she was content in this microcosm that just herself and Lekalis.

For a moment, he felt lost in the fog as he heat of his Love encompassed him entirely; it was only in the briefest lapses that he relinquished a soft, toothy hold on her neck to speak, "I'd reckon... The hard part's the fun of finding a Love like ours." He purred eagerly as he nuzzled his nose against her cheek and sighed, relaxing at last. "Though I'll not find another like you." He assured as he shut his eyes and let himself be taken by the throes of Love and Lust...

Tilly forgot to feel ashamed of giving herself entirely to Lekalis; a small part of her begged to wait until they were married, but she knew, truthfully, that they already were. There came the question of whether she would have run away, as a girl, if she had been courted by someone of the likes of Lekalis.
She knew that she certainly wasn't running now.
