Mortus Caligere
Lacunae Lux
After a brief scouting expedition, Courcy and other mercenaries are tasked with clearing out the monsters that inhabit the pier, at least enough so that the Guard can return and reclaim what was lost.
The Squire of Ser Promos, who had been found in the scouting expedition, has informed the Heir and thus the expeditioneers that there are two other lookout towers that were overwhelmed from below by monstrous fishmen, and bloated corpses. A kind of ritual of some sort, he claims, is converting men and corpses to these aphotic beings. They are sensitive, yet attracted to, bright lights and their skin can endure a strike or two, with the muscle beneath being stronger than most men as they can crush a man's skull with their two hands, and cut armor with their claws as if they were swords.
Thus; the task at hand is to clear out the two lookout towers, and secure them to be reclaimed by the Estate.

-LOOT-
I will be employing a dice system to dispense curated loot respective to the search at hand.
Players may search for loot whenever they wish, but the maximum range for their loot will be respective to the environment. Thus; looking about a blank room may result in finding some hidden coin beneath the floor boards or in a corner, but looking about corpses or in a treasure hoard may result in a sack of precious gems or a special item.
Players can always ask me, OOC or IC, if a location looks good for looting and I will reply as transparently as I can.
Curated Loot means each player will have the opportunity to find special loot that is tailored to their character; be it a special weapon or materials for that player to utilize in their own means. The rarity of this loot will be dependent on a hidden roll done by myself, but the range for these rarities will be based off location (as described above) and the player's inspection roll (a simple d20 with respective modifiers).
-COMBAT-
Combat will largely be done with a narrative focus in mind, with hidden rolls done by myself to dictate the outcome.
Modifiers will be discussed after the expedition is underway as I want to ensure the system is favorable to all members.
