"I am pleased to have assisted you in clearing your... sewage." It sounded odd to Florence, and there was some time where she furrowed her brow and contemplated the meaning of the words before deciding she didn't wholly understand it. But she appreciated the sentiment.
"It was never my intent to listen to you, specifically. I only wished to help you." She withdrew the glass and held it close to her, while she held out the palm of her left hand.
"We are all simply human. The greatest anatomical differences are between men and women, but even then, there is little variation." She splayed the fingers and hovered it above Lekalis's for proof. "There is little physiological difference between you, the barkeeper, and the Heir, beyond inconsequential, outward experiences."

"Aye, I suppose that's fair enough." Lekalis mused as he held out his hand in kind, perhaps dangerously close to Florence's, as he felt a tingle in his fingertips and he found himself staring at her palm, before taking a in a sharp breath and laying his hand flat on the table for contrast and difference. "Do you count Humors to be a part of physi... Physiology? A-and what is Physiology? Like, really... I don't remember it too well." He grumbled the last as he kept an eye on Florence's motions, then took another drink of his wine.

"Humors, in the sense of brain-function, are... poorly understood. It is only recently that we have begun to step away from the ancient concept of humorism, as in the concept of maintaining a balance of bodily fluids, but some still cling to it."
Florence laid her hand flat on the table next to his.
"Physiology is the way of which a structure functions. For example, while our hands may be of slightly different appearance, they both share a physiology: to manipulate objects in one's environment, as well as to play important roles in communication."

"Ahuh... I see..." He hummed swaying his head left then right, a pattern of idle boredom as he nodded to some unseen tune. He wondered what bias played into his studently nature around Florence. Though, the thought of learning brought up her insult just after the vicious tearing insult she'd laid upon him but a few minutes prior. "... Do you truly think of me as an... Unthinking child? Incapable of learning?" He asked softly, as he poured another drink into both their glasses of wine yet again.
The bottle was half empty.

Florence frowned, leaning forward on her elbows as she pressed a finger to her mouth in thought of the words she spoke in anger.
"Sometimes," She began, looking to his eyes again, "I feel that you are not incapable, but unwilling to learn when the lesson is displeasurable. Had you heeded my advice, you would not be in such desperate straits as you are now."
She seemed content with this, and her shoulders relaxed as the brainwork was done, sipping her wine instead. "I wish only to help you, but my efforts are futile if you do not listen."

"That is a fair point" He admitted with a small chuckle and sigh, his eyes squinting up a bit as he recalled her poignant words, misting up a bit from perhaps too much wine. He brought up his cuff again to wipe away the tears. Still, he smiled on regardless... It was somewhat behind them, they'd taken their steps towards a new future. "I am but a simple meat-thing. I learn best when the lesson makes me happy." He smirked and nudged her back with the toe of his boot.
"Perhaps you should have lain with me then, so I would remember not to lay with anyone else, no?" Lekalis teasingly cackled in a small way, as he sighed, shaking his head.

"No."
Florence drank her wine and stared at Lekalis with as much disapproval as a typically stern face could muster.
"That would defeat the purpose, and I would have to inform Tilly. It seems that you are simply forced to listen to my advice rather than observing a demonstration."

"Right, I'm sorry." He chuckled again as he watcher her disapproval flatten her brows again, he grumpy look as she drank wine made him sigh as he felt a slowness in his limbs. In any other light, he'd be a bit bitter over the matter, but... He felt safe enough here. He rose his arm up slowly, gracefully, as though it were moving through water to test his locomotion. Humming with some distaste as he let the limb flop on his thigh. "... Observing a demonstration?" He asked curiously, raising a brow. His tone was intrigued, but his smile waned...

"I mean... eh, intercourse. To see what would happen instead of following my advice. I would not prefer the latter." Florence peered into what wine remained in her glass before drinking the rest of it.
"It pleases me, instead, to see you pursue the next stage of life. It is excellent to see you thrive."

Trent shook his head, scanning the crowded room, dotted here and there with round tables around which the same dreary-looking villagers sat, and with booths tucked into the far corner. His inclination was to pull up a table close to the fire and to enjoy the roaring heart and the crackling warmth. "Nay, but that shouldn't be too bad, eh? Least it gives me a chance to lose without looking like a fool to a whole host of strangers instead of merely one." He chuckled, his hand naturally stirring to scratch the chin of Rudy, who was busy looking with obvious longing towards the bar, clearly able to smell the cheap cuts of meat sizzling in some back-room kitchen. "I think the pup here has a the right idea, what say we grab grog and grub before we partake in our little game, mm?" He looked towards the 'English'-man for approval, already taking a half-step in that direction.

The Ex-Lord shook his head with a sigh and a chuckle as he scooted off the table at last and began to pour some more wine into Florence's glass, making to pour more into his, swallowing what regrets he had for the moment to indulge. "I wish I'd had you as my advisor when I was still a Lord..." He mused with a sigh as he leant his head on his shoulder, letting the hand of the arm connected to it lay flat on the table as he leant against it. "... I'd be thriving much more then. It's a shame doctor's aren't more like you... It's a shame there isn't more of you." He scoffed at the impossible idea as he took a sup of his wine.
All the talk of his old homeland had brought about the touches of his people's accents. It was only vaguely, though still laughably, vampiric in its Transylvanian inflections. Lekalis wasn't blind to it, and his nose scrunched up a touch as he felt his societal habits falter a touch. "Just... Where were you..? What, some...eh... Three? No. Four... Five? Years ago?" He sighed forlornly, "Yes, Five years ago, now... I was still a Lord then; where should I have gone to find my perfect advisor, hmm?" He smirked and nodded to Florence, pointing at her two with the wine glass in his hand.

"Ah, that sounds perfect-- to both! It is the fool who makes the most friends, no?"
It, in fact, did not sound perfect to Ponytail for the simple fact that he had run out of coin, save for some small pittance he was clinging to in the event of an emergency. He wrung his hands together momentarily and eyed the bar before walking towards it.
"I have already eaten, but I would be glad to keep you and your hound company."
--- Florence hummed doubtfully as she considered the concept. "Hmmm... I do not believe you would have been able to find me." She nodded in thanks for the wine that had been distributed to her, and she cupped the bowl of the wineglass gently with two hands, holding it aside for just the moment. "I insisted that the village be quarantined, and to prevent anyone from entering. You would risk becoming plagued by visiting me five years ago."
She sipped from her wine, at last.
"But I am your physician now."

"You are my physician now." He accepted with a small cheers as he drank most of what remained of his wine. The buzz and swell of warmth in his breast was both new and old. It felt like it was ages ago since he'd last felt the fuzziness he now dwelled in. Usually, he fled to this numbness to hide from the horrors of the Estate. He couldn't remember the last time he'd done it for sheer enjoyment, joy... For cheer.
He was happy to spend this time with Florence, he only wished the celebrations were more behooven to his fantasies. Though, for now he'd have to resolve against it, be content with the dream he had now, with Tilly... a family. "I was just coming home from my travels, learning the world and the like..."

Florence felt her blood slow with the aid of the wine. It was a pleasant, warm feeling she could not remember the last she indulged in, especially to this degree. She marveled at the sensation while she listened to Lekalis, asking curiously,
"And what did you learn?"

A moment of focus came to his brows, perhaps struggling more against the slight inebriation than any struggle to recollect some of the most defining moments of his life. With some victory, he rose up a hand, as if to sneeze before he let the hand rest with a hum. "I'd... Just gotten done learning... Supposed to learn, about... Money. And trade, from the best in Venice." He nodded, his head quirking to one shoulder, "That's close to Florence, isn't it!" He guffawed incredulously, shaking his head, sighing... "... Though, you were away... Tending to the village-- Where was it again? Can't have been too far? Plagues went through those parts as a whole din't they?"He rolled his hand, nodding apologetically, "Too far from Venice that is, you?" Lekalis looked to be a bit frustrated at his verbal ineptitude.
