Name: Tod (Level 1)
Age:21
Gender: Male
Physical: Tod is 5’11, he is a light-skinned man with an accent that is obviously German, but has undertones of a strange origin. His face is round, with slicked medium sized ears and his eyes are a vibrant green. His mouth is normal sized with white teeth with a slightly large width. His face is pinkish with no hair, with roundish cheeks. His nose is on the smaller side, and his eyebrows are thick and bushy. The sides of his head show very short hair, but the hair on the top of his head is poofy and curls towards the ends. It is a dark brown but slightly lighter at the tips. His body is not thin, but not fat, he meets in the middle. He is densely tattooed with scripture and prayer, along with his power words, which he casts spells from. The only places not heavily tattooed is his nether regions, mid forearm down, and neck up. Even the bottoms of his feet are densely tattooed. His tattoos glow when he is casting the prayer corresponding to them. Any space not taken up by Power Words are filled with prayers and scripture, but also various journal entries of Saint Kessiah and priests of Tod's convent.
-Notable Tattoos that are not Power Words-
Chest and Stomach-On his abdomen, towards the left side, Tod has what appears to be a bundle of grapes, but some of the grapes appear to be gems of various colors and shapes. On his left pectoral muscle, an empty space has been covered with a highly detailed tattoo of a seagull with an olive branch in its beak. The rest of this area is darkened with scripture and the Power Words.
Back-On Tod's lower back, surrounded by scripture, twisting around it, is a dark circle. On the edges of his back, small fonts and scripts frame his back, nearly caging the contents away from the rest of the body.
Legs and Buttocks-Upon Tod's buttocks are very specific and venomous anti-homosexual texts, before being framed again by small script away from the legs, which are marked with long, abstract concepts brought up in the holy texts. On his calves and shins, scriptures of the athletic valor of Saint Kessiah are placed, twisting like roots around him.
Arms-Tod's arms are densely tattooed, but surrounded by words, on the undersides of both of his upper arms, are depictions of crucifixes identical to his. Upon these depictions are small scar-art crucifixes making up the main arms of the cross and some of the central column. Within small spots all over the tattooed areas of Tod's arms, small crucifix tattoos and dot-configurations fill the space. In his left armpit is a tattoo of a 21-point star, decorated with images of blue and turquoise flames. In the other is a mask tattoo, styled like a vampyre of classic folklore, with a stake through it's lower jaw and out the top of the skull.
Attire: His cotton tunic and hemp pants cover his body, but his coat with furred edges and wool inside goes to his mid thigh. He keeps one button of it buttoned at most times. A leather loop, located at the bottom of the right side of his coat, holds his crucifix in place when he isn’t using it. It is a cast iron make, bonded together by layer after layer of twine. He also carries a 4-inch diameter hollow iron sphere for good luck.
Gear: Cross, iron sphere, a small piece of flint.
Quirks:
(Positive) Hatred of unholy: (Specifically, hatred of undead) “The dead should stay dead, and I will make sure it stays that way.”
Irrepressible: “There is always hope, don’t ever forget that.”
(Negative) Curious (Replaced Enlightened): "Oo! Books!"
Nervous: “I feel like this was not the best decision to make while pressured!”
Synopsis: Tod was left as a newborn on the doorstep of a strange church, worshiping a non-official Saint. He was trained alongside other children for the duties of priesthood, but was soon drawn into the church, his devotion to his cause lending itself to his training as a user of the Light. After this, his conditioning left him shaken, and his allegiances faltered, hence, he was transferred to The Hamlet, for use by the local church as yet another asset against the Darkest Dungeon.
Full- As soon as his mother could allow herself to be pried from her son, Tod's father tossed him to the church. On a crisp December evening, Tod was left in a ceramic bowl, unwashed and whimpering, on the doorstep of the Holy Manor of Saint Kessiah. From their, his life truly began. As a young lad, Tod was given his name by way of convenience, as 'Orphan' was deemed disrespectful. His training started at a very young age, the labors of the priesthood wearing on his mind. Soon, his undivided devotion landed him in the throws of zealous conditioning.
Tod soon was told that he would become a wielder of the Light, an Exorcist. His eyes lifted up to meet his holy teacher, and his work began. Soon, Tod underwent extensive teachings of how to focus his power. He was given his crucifix, taking an iron sphere from a decoration as a backup. (This does not work, thankfully he has never tried)
Tod forced himself into the library, reading holy text after holy text, but also extending his knowledge of the world around him, finding pleasure in linguistics and artistic literature. His obsession with writing was misconstrued though, when he found Margaret. His love for romantic fiction allowed to be placed on holy shelves gave her signs he did not wish to give. Soon, her advances broke down his boyish walls, and the middle-aged nun nearly forced their own romance upon Tod. In time, he grew to feel for her, and after a glance was exchanged, and a silent agreement was made, they made love.
It was Tod's only time.
The two were caught, and Tod found himself hopelessly feeble as the priests creatively punished him, writing above his nether regions a word Tod does not divulge very willingly.
At this, Tod turned to tattoos as a self-deprecating stress reliever. He forced himself to think of his mistakes, reliving the moments over and over as he transcribed his spells upon his own body, becoming his own zealous mural of scripture and prayer.
Soon, his boyish resentfulness coming back to haunt him in early adulthood landed him in a caravan, to travel to a dark place. But Tod was ready. (He wasn't.)
Misc. Notes: Small scar on left cheek, walks with a limp on his left leg.
Advantages
Carries a positive attitude, can wield the light and can bash a close enemy with his cross if need be. Tod holds a optimistic attitude, his hopes are high and his faith in others is sincere and solid. His mind is hard to break, as his conditioning at an early age made him resilient to the horrors of demons inhabiting mortal hosts. But...
Drawbacks
Tod fears what he cannot control, his own micromanaging habits pushing away those he cares about. Also, Tod holds the Light very dearly, a zealot in the bare sense of the word. Any deviation from this makes him uncomfortable, lingering, perhaps making him lose vital battlefield focus. He also is a paranoid wreck, with poor emotion control, if one is strong enough to strip away the exorcist facade, they may find the battered boy underneath, a crying child, hopelessly lost in a sea of doubt and self-blame. He is prone to outbursts, his emotions getting the better of him.
POWER WORDS

Dominus illuminatio mea, Dominus fortitudo nostra, Dominus pastor, Dominus vobiscum
His most potent prayer, scrawled across his chest, gives someone strong healing ( A spearhead through the chest, smashed with a greatclub, mend broken bones if set properly.) strength (Enough to cut deep and stab deeper.), and stamina (To rejoin the fight, and turn the tide.) at the cost of his most powerful spell’s after effects immediately after he casts.

(Update: Big Thing that needs to be explained)
Tod can take on the sins of another, as spoken about in the Power Words section. This renders them pure, as long as sins are not performed, but renders Tod even more sinful than his enemies. Tod has taken on many sins, many small ones building to a mountain in his head. This is one of the main reasons he is rendered so mentally fragile when taken down from his zealous high-horse.
On another topic: Tod's conditioning. Tod's conditioning was a system, a powerful one meant to break down a man, and build him again. The most important part of this was to mentally separate one's negative emotions from oneself. This led to Tod's own negative emotions taking on the image of The Seven Deadly Sins in Tod's mind, each one developing its own personality and voice to Tod. These voices speak to him, although they cannot control him. Tod's own abandonment issues as well as emotional immaturity leaves me to discuss this, describing why he follows their orders in times of stress.
