In short; you lot may have noticed that, in my posts, I tend to format them as such:
/[character name]/
[content]
//
I was wondering how many of you would like to see this made a guideline and preference in the respective FAQ thread for the site? Perhaps another stickied thread called "RP Advice/Guidelines"? Wherein you all could submit advice on a forum or PM'd privately to yours truly, to be considered and potentially added.
I was doubly wondering if you would like to see labels for locations, in addition to names?
Sort of like ,a sub-location to an already given location; just so that characters and actions can be better seen across the board, to identify when and if a character would react.
This way, we don't have a situation where a barfight is happening, and no one reacts. That, or there's shouting in a room and no one hears it.
Or perhaps, so that whispers or more conspiratorial actions can be better identified and respected.
ie;
If someone engages in a fight in the Tavern, in a private room: the situation could either go Loud, or Quiet.
=Mark's Room=
/Johnson/
With a loud declaration, he kicks down the door to Mark's room, and points his broadsword and the heinous Mark.
"En Garde, fool! You have soiled my name once and for all! Perish now!"
//
Johnson's Declaration can be heard clear down into the Main Room of the tavern, and surrounding areas
==
As an example for how a Loud situation could be handled.
A quiet one, in contrast, would simply not have the bolded words.
Maybe the whole idea of adding it to a stickied thread is a bit much; but I think it could be worthwhile for the community to consider announcing or making it apparent when a situation is loud or not. So as to avoid confusion.
Locations could also help elaborate when and where something is taking place, so that no one gets lost or presumes someone is out in the open.
Quality of Life stuff
